Hello. I am Alexandra Heminsley, a freelance writer, broadcaster and nail polish obsessive. Some consider me more than a freelancer in the field of nail polish. It’s a vocation. It was suggested that I write about it as some form of exorcism, so here we are.

During my non-nail-painting hours, I am an author and occasional ghost writer. I was also the Book Club Expert on Sky1 Daytime Series ‘Angela & Friends’, and am books editor for Elle and the Claudia Winkleman Arts Show on BBC Radio 2. I am Nemone’s book reviewer on her BBC 6music show, and I also crop up in Waterstone’s Quarterly and various newspapers, and on the Simon Mayo Books Panel and the Richard Bacon Show on Radio 5 Live.

I wrote this book, and contributed to this one. I’ve just finished two more, but shshshshshsh, they don’t have my name on them. But really, it’s all about the nails. Join me.
